Is it time to do something scary?

Congratulations! You’ve made it through another week. Hopefully it was a successful one in many regards. The start of November always seems to signal the time of year when we start the countdown towards something: 2 weeks until our kids start exams, 6 more weeks until we go on leave, 8 weeks to Christmas (usually we don’t include: 10 weeks until we start work again…).

This time of year has a distinct “survival mode” feeling to it. We just need to make it through. But what then? More of the same, for another year? Does that sound appetizing to you? Maybe it does, maybe not.

This week we’re keeping it short.

Instead of getting stuck in survival mode, why not dip your toes in a different mode? If things are not going the way you hoped, don’t settle for more of the same next year. Make a necessary change, start or ending.

Here are three quotes to get you thinking:

“Always do what you are afraid to do.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” – Joseph Campbell

“Can you imagine yourself in 10 years if, instead of avoiding the things you know you should do, you actually did them every single day?” – Jordan Peterson

We all need to hear this, whether things are going well or terribly. Maybe it’s time to do something scary. Maybe it’s the perfect time to do something differently.

As always, thank you for reading and ending your week on a high.
